Subject: Touching HimselfQUESTION: I have a question and maybe you can help me out. My husband is always touching himself. If we are watching tv or if he is online checking his email. He constantly has his hands down his pants. Why is that?? I asked him if he does it because he is horny and he told me no. Is this a normal man thing? Does my husband think he has to put his hands down his pants to make sure that his penis is still attached or so it wont get up and runaway from him? Any help from you would be great. REPLY: That's funny, and I've seen men doing this, too. It's probably just a nervous habit, and he's probably doing it unconsciously, out of habit. It probably feels comforting to him. You have asked him a specific question for which he has told you no, but have you just asked him why? He might not know but it may or may not be less comforting to him if he knows you are conscious of it and it bothers you. I suppose it is like any annoying habit we may be bothered by in our partner.
