Subject: Semen AllergyQUESTION: I have been having intercourse with my husband for 4 years. We use condoms and some times the pull out method. Recently we have become comfortable with the idea of becoming pregnant. We began to allow full ejaculation inside the vagina. When we do so I burn and become very uncomfortable. I have never experienced this before. I have no know allergies of any kind, could I still be allergic to semen? Why doesn't it bother me when it seeps? (as in when he pulls out) We switched back to condoms and pulling out to see if it was the difference...I experience no burning again. Also, when he cums in me, it leaks out, a lot of it. Is that normal? Thanks! REPLY: Yes, leaking out is totally normal. There is nothing to hold it in there, no sphincter, but it doesn't matter. There's plenty of sperm to go around! The burning sensation is more of a concern, and I think you should speak with your doctor about it. It does sound like a semen allergy, although these are quite rare. Often, the female will have a skin reaction to something the guy ate, and traces of that food will show up in the semen. Do you have any food allergies? That would be the place to start, but do ask your doctor. - KT . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
