Subject: Whipped CreamQUESTION: My boyfriend and I were wondering if it was safe to use whipped cream, and other edible delights on my vaginal area? He heard that the sugar in it could possibly cause a yeast infection, if it got into the vagina. Is this true? REPLY: You can always use food on external genitals, such as whipped cream on the clitoris or Hershey's chocolate on a penis. It's the internal stuff where you might have a problem. If you are prone to yeast infections, there is some evidence that sugar in the vagina can encourage yeast growth. If you are not, then things should be fine. Most lubes contain sugar in the form of glycerin, and most females have no problem with lubes.
